You're in great hands
At the initial exam you will meet Dr. Moran or Dr. Girardot and our team. This appointment allows time for doctors to do an examination and answer some basic questions you may have. When you leave, you will have a better understanding of your situation, and our treatment goals. Our initial exam is thorough, but keep in mind, when we look in the mouth we see only a smaller part of the problem. Because of this we will probably need to get diagnostic records to complete a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan.
Appropriate diagnostic records are required for our doctors to effectively study your or your child’s condition and provide a comprehensive treatment plan. Needed records vary from patient to patient and may include: x-rays or digital images, molds of the teeth mounted on an articulator and photographs. In order to ensure consistent quality and safety, as well as the latest high tech diagnostics, images are taken at an off-site, professional laboratory at a time that is convenient for you. Their fees are the same or less than if images were taken in our office, and the quality is unsurpassed. Molds of the teeth are created in our office and mounted on an instrument called an articulator, which allows our doctors to study the important functional relationship between the teeth and the jaw joints.
The objective of your pre-treatment consultation is to help you understand what the doctors have learned from taking the necessary time to study the initial exam notes and diagnostic records. During this visit Dr. Moran or Dr. Girardot and our Treatment Coordinator will discuss any questions, concerns and options about what is available. We will do everything we can to ensure that you know enough about your condition and your options to make an informed and confident decision that will have a positive effect on the your dental health for life. Often, in today’s orthodontics, this appointment is omitted; we think it is very important.
Fees & Payments:
We believe orthodontics is an important health service. That’s why we make every effort to keep braces affordable, while maintaining the highest level of professional care. Being sensitive to the fact that different people have different needs in fulfilling their financial obligations, we are very creative in providing numerous payment options. We can arrange a schedule of interest free payments over a period of months that fits with your budget. A discount can be earned with full payment at the onset of treatment. Most of our patients pay monthly via automatic draw from their bank checking account. Our office accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
On average, patients in active treatment are seen approximately every six to eight weeks. However, in our office, treatment is customized for each patient so appointment intervals may vary according to the situation. New patient appointments are scheduled as soon as possible. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us a minimum of 24 hours notice. We schedule appointments as early as 7:15am.
We reserve a limited amount of time each day for patients needing emergency treatment. Please try to call us as early in the day as possible to schedule an emergency appointment. If you have an emergency after hours and on weekends, call our office and you will be given an emergency contact number.
Many of our patients have insurance. We are happy to submit your insurance claims and help you to get the best reimbursement possible from your insurance carrier.
